The HERITECH Project

HERITECH is dedicated to the preservation and promotion of the cultural heritage in the 21st century on the basis of modern technologies.

Croatia has got a large tourism potential regarding cultural heritage; however, it is unjustly hidden, forgotten or ignored within the smaller cities. The Old Town of Biograd represents one small part of that hidden heritage and its preservation and promotion within this project based on the implementation of an Information Management System can be used as an example of saving the worthy historic data and forwarding it into the future.

This HERITECH Information Management System is supporting researchers, cultural heritage managers, archaeologists, museum experts, … in the tasks of inventory, documentation, conservation and protection, monitoring, restoration and promotion of the heritage sites in Croatia.
